Is there a way to re-connect to a live game?

I was playing a long rapid game on the mobile app, and later, I switched on my laptop which logged me into chess.com. I got a notification on the mobile app "oops. looks like you've been logged in somewhere else" so I immediately closed the internet browsers on the laptop.

The live game on the mobile app still appeared to be connected, and it just continued to count down the opponents clock.... all the way to zero... and the game didnt end, it just froze on 0.

After 15 mins, I logged back into the laptop, logged into chess.com and it said I ran out of time.
If something like this happens in the future, is there a way to recover the game? or does it just glitch and run out of time once this happens.

I think that all you need to do is to have continued the game on the computer, and closed the app. Perhaps the will not work. The reason it does this could be in case of using another device could result to cheating. This is beyond me.

Still a bug in 2022.

Amazing that this isn't possible in 2022. My phone just died, so I logged on my laptop, can I resume the game? Nope. It's 20 fricking 22.
