I am having several isues playing chess wih some players.

How is it possible, that the other player resigns and wins??? There is time left for both of us and ii so happens that I am winning in pieces but yet he wins when he resigns.

How on earth is that possible?

Does that mean that whenever I am loosing I can resign and win?

Thank you

That is not possible. If a player resigns, he will lose.

Some of you recent losses have been through abandonment. This may be caused if you lose connection to the chess.com server.

That is not correct. I agrere that if I have a wifi or internet shut down, I loose. I also understand that if I quit I loose. However in one of my last games, it was the other player WHO RESIGNED! and still won the game. That is what I am trying to say. HE RESIGNED AND WON and in my honest opinion I think that is not correct. If a resign, I lose. I agree on that. But if the other player resigns, WHY DOES HE WIN???? This has happenned several times but no always.

Is it possible he resigned some of the games you abandoned? So even though you both lost he was somehow awarded the win?

Your ability to read is as bad as your ability to post pictures tongue.png

But I didn’t.  I Had full connection with server.  Many times I have resigned and know the consequences. But not this time. Is it a bug? I don’t know. Whatever. It is only a game.  Thanks for your help.

Even if your connection is good, sometimes chess.com does this... it's never happened to me, but a lot of people complain about it.

I mean... a lot of people are dumb, so who knows... they might be on their phone and traveling in a subway and lose connection for 30 seconds and think that shouldn't matter.

But also some people say they're on their PC and have monitored their connection, so I don't know.

You have not listened to a single word of help that has been offered to you.

No one is suggesting that you abandoned deliberately. But you did abandon, probably through a failed connection.

I and others have tried to offer help but you refuse it. You are blocked..

True. Not good at posting pics. One more question.  Is it mandatory to click On the resign button to resign?

chess.com glitches sometimes. One abandoned game usually isn't a big deal. One time, chess.com literally just broke for me. I couldn't connect to anything, and lost a bunch of games in a tournament I was in that I couldn't leave, because my connection was lost. However, I was at full bars and could access other sites like youtube, twitch, etc perfectly. So yeah, it's not a huge issue.
