Limit on viewing friends??

For as long as I can remember, I could see a member's friends quite easily -- but for only 100 pages. If you click 'next' after that you will not get any further. My friend chess_idiot has over 10,000 friends, for example, yet I can only get up to the "A"s!

Is there a work-around for this bug? Are they planning on fixing it? Thanks.

They should limit friends to something reasonable like 25. There has to be an enormous server time cost to check out the status of 10,000 of his friends every time one logs in or out.

No wonder there are server crashes.

Wow another bug

This one is very minor though.

Thanks for checking, Ela777. If I visit

www.chess.com/home/friends?username=chess_idiot&general=&name=&country=&sortby=alphabetical&page=100

the first friend shown is AustynS. If you click 'next' or visit

www.chess.com/home/friends?username=chess_idiot&general=&name=&country=&sortby=alphabetical&page=101

the first friend shown is still AustynS. No matter how many times you click 'next' or increment the &page= parameter, you get no further.

Will someone from chess.com comment please?

Yeah, but there's a workaround.  Click on a page # and it takes you there.  Now click on previous and you can go back.  I don't think this is so much a bug as an inconvenience.  I mean really, should the programmers have to do something special to deal with this very unusually large number of friends?

Robert_New_Alekhine

Same for notes in groups, articles, and so om.

There is a limit on how many games get displayed in archives too.You can't view more than 100 pages of old games.

Why in the world would you even want to scroll through or download the list?

Would you like to be able to send group invites?

BADDOGNO: Thanks for suggesting your method. I tried to go to page 200, but I got page 100. You can't go past 100 it seems.

mosai

baddogno it doesn't let you go past page 100, even using the "&page=" address variable
