Losing because of connection issue but no notification

I’ve several times now had the experience of waiting on an opponent and then being told I lost because I lost the connection.

It would be nice to be told before a loss occurs that the connection has been lost. Otherwise you’re left in the dark. (Unless you keep tabs at all times on your connection but of course your focus is on the game!)
