So what's your point (if any)?

Skand I think if you want any meaningful feedback here you need to post a specific description of whatever it is you're talking about (well not talking about really). Nobody actually wants to be bothered plowing thru some links to figure this out.
BUT, I do agree with you on one thing at least:
It was a wise man who invented God PLATO

The OP is for help & support - hopefully one of the staff will chance upon it. I am too frustrated to repeat the whole "Mahabharat" (as we say in India) - let them read the links if they are interested in solving the problem. Last time I posted "specific description", the topic was locked after an inadequate response.
Discussions of cheating and religion should not take place in the main forums.
That's a bit superfluous, ain't it?

It is, but I think it is necessary. There are special forums where insults can be exchanged freely (well, almost).

Please don't keep posting several threads on the same issue.
On this one it clearly shows you on the last post the rules about not using private messages for groups and team matches.
It does also say - Failure to follow these rules may cause your account to be suspended or deleted.
Groups are given the option to use the 'Post News' feature. When using that it not only posts a copy in the group but it also sends a copy of the message to every member in the group.
Members were given the option to turn off group alerts because they didn't want to be messaged about team matches, so they may get annoyed if they are then messaged privately about something they didn't want to get.

@kohai:
1. I have neither the time nor the inclination to create different threads on same issue. Unlike the staff here, I am not paid for it. My time is precious to me. Had the thread not been locked by you or some other staff, new threads would not have appeared.
2. Again, had you replied to my pm on this subject, there would have been no reason to raise the same issue in a new thread,
3. About "this": you have only quoted the rules to me - which I was already well aware of. You did not specify which particular rule, the admin violated. You couldn't because he did not violate any. You found it easier to lock the thread!
4. Just because admins are given facility to post news why should one assume that sending a pm to a member is a "no-no"? What is the pm facility for then? If it is a no-no, then mention so, in your rule book. The restriction of using pm and notes is only for inviting the members to join a group - for which a tool is provided - where we can contact 30 persons in a day.
5. You are being less than accurate when you say, "it clearly shows you on the last post the rules about not using private messages for groups and team matches." You have added the word "matches" in this post. The real wordings are: "DO NOT SEND INVITES (for Tournaments or Groups/Teams) through these messages. If you want to send invites, please read: Inviting Members to your Group/Team ".
The words group and team have been loosely used here to mean the same thing, "groups" on chess.com, not the teams of team matches. The proof of this is in the contents of the FAQ page for which the above link is given:

How do I invite members to my group or team?

If you want to invite more members to your group or team, use the "Invite People" link on the right hand side of the Group's Admin page. Then simply list all of the players you wish to invite. You can send 30 invites every 24 hours, and every member invited is automatically enabled to join the group at any time, even if they misplace your invitation-message. |

==== FAQ Over ====
As you can see, it speaks only of how to invite members to your group. It has nothing to do with team matches.
Therefore to say that rules "clearly" say that we should not use pm for asking our group members to play in a given team match, is not accurate.
6. Frankly, I do not think that I needed even to explain all this above. I think you know it and all admins - at least experienced admins know that nowhere does it ban admins to use pm for inviting their own members to join a team match.
7. Even when the account is re-opened, the staff tries to explain away in an apologetic manner by saying that it is difficult to distinguish between real spam and genuine messages. Which means that the account closure is due to wrong diagnos of a legitimate message as spam.
8. The correct thing for chess.com would be to rectify this bogus spam catching. Or if it really wants PMs not to be used for team matches, then provide a tool where we can request specific players or specific range players to join a team match. Or if can't do this, then at least tell us "how many messages are too many messages". Or if can do none of them, then modify the rules and clearly state that inviting members to team-matches is NOT allowed using pm and notes - then at least it will be clear that rules, however illogical, state what is not allowed. As of now, the rules clearly do not bar admins from using pm & notes to invite members to join team matches. Ask any admin.
To those admins who feel that I could be wrong, try using the tool "Invite People" to send a message to your existing group members. You will understand that this tools is only for inviting people to your group - not to message your existing group members.
We use that of course. But repeated use of news posts has following bad effect:
1. We unnecessarily load chess.com servers with the job of sending message to 4500 members, whereas our target was just 50-100 members. Using PM is 'green'.
2. Due to repeated sending, many members have already turned their news alert off. But PMs are not turned off.
3. Requesting to join a team match is not really "news' (we use it anyways).
Besides this we have also created forum topics for different rated players so that the 'noise' is reduced and more targeted alerts are generated for team matches.
In spite of all this, some times the admins have to contact members personally to beg them to join an important match (we dislike it immensely, but do it for the sake of the group). In other words, we use all tools at our disposal which we can use legally to contact our members.
