Match declared drawn even if the challenger had sufficient material to checkmate

Dear Chess.com,

I think the software made a mistake.

In my last match, the time of my challenger was over while I still had 1' 48 seconds.

Therefore, Chess.com should have declared that I was the winner.

Surprisingly, it declared the match was drawn as opposing player has insufficient material to checkmate.

It was not true, because he had a queen and a horse!

How is it possible to correct it?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

you should probably post the game link but its ok i found it: https://www.chess.com/live/game/6131881140

what happened is that your opponent ran out of time but it is impossible to checkmate. you only had a king, which cannot checkmate. so, after your opponent ran out of time, it counts as a draw. hopefully that makes sense

Dear Tyler 329,

It makes sense.

Thanks for your kind reply.

I thought that lack of time prevailed over insufficient material to checkmate.
