Mate in one queued in premove and STILL lose on time!

I thought the point of timestamp/timeseal was to avoid manipulation.

Erik,

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Is there a reason that when we replay games here, the times for the moves are not recorded? When I replay games on other sites, it shows what the clock times read. At least that way you can see what the system saw for each move.

I thought that was a basic feature of timestamp/timeseal. Or is that a premium feature here?

Btw, on other sites, if a player has bad lag in a game, they often are not allowed to start another game until their lag is back under control. Could that be a partial solution here?

We have the timestamps, and we will include them in the next version of chess.com (in the works).

And yes, we are also working on better separation of laggy players.

Thanks!

Well, still waiting for an answer to my generous offer. Wink

I understand programmers live in a world of milliseconds (and end up hating any period of time much less than a millenium). I now see that chess players are starting to live in a world made up of tenths of a second. Well bullet players, anyway.

It's good to see in 2020 this still happens. I just had 4 pre-moves queued to queen with checkmate. It plays 3 of my moves, gets to the last move, "Your move did not reach the server in time".  Lose on time. Ridiculous.

Just because you have mate premoved doesn't mean you have enough for the moves to be played out, it is your fault for not playing the rest of the game fast enough

Its not his fault, this aspect of the website is just designed poorly. Premoves aren't registered by the server until its their turn to execute, so they still have the lag of a normal move for no good reason.

Premoves on mobile average to about .3 seconds. Lol dogshit
