Membership with Paypal

Hi!

I would like to purchace gold membership for a year and pay it with Paypal. However when I click Paypal payment option it requires me to fill in my credit card information. I spesifically use Paypal so I don't need to put credit card information online. Is there way to purchace membership with Paypal without giving my card information, like it work on other sites? I tried to contact chess.com admins week ago, but still no answer.

Memberships are subscriptions and without a payment source on PayPal, you can't sign up for subscriptions.

I used this link: https://www.chess.com/membership/gift  and it worked without a card
