Menu on left side

I don't know what happened. Yesterday the menu were on top, and today when I logged in they are on the left and I cannot make them return on top.

Could someone help me to have them back on top?

Same problem, I prefer the menu on top and can't put it back up there.  

Luckily my membership ends in few days, and I'll not renew it, since there are no improvements on this site. They just do stuff for making themselves comfortable.

Anyway, all the scurvy side bar protagonists seem to be very quiet on this issue. I wouldn't be surprised if Soros was behind this deviancy, and is promoting the whole thing.

There's nothing to say. Of the millions of people on the site, of course there are some people who prefer it on the left, and both of those people (yeah, in the poll it's literally two people at present) might say something like "we have more on-screen real estate to the side so it makes sense to put it there to not lose vertical space", but this ignores two key factors:

1) the top menu took up about 10 pixels or something. I exaggerate, but you get the idea. It was really narrow.

2) proponents of the sidebar already had the sidebar. They have gained nothing, so there will be no cheers of "Thank you Chess.com for this amazing gift of sidebar" because it was already available. All that has changed is that we no longer have the option to use the much more ergonomic horizontal bar.

Chess.com, simplicity is about using simple crisp ergonomic designs. It's not about taking away options and calling it simpler. That's just simpler and easier for you. You're supposed to be making things simpler and easier for your customers.
