My archive only shows my last 50 games. What happened?

All 38 million games are still there as far as I can see.

It seemed to be a temporary glitch. The old version two system of 50 games per page has returned instead of the "more" tab. Neither the "more" nor the page numbers were showing when I started this thread.

I suspect, however, that I cannot go beyond page 100, however. That was true in v.2.

Page 100 brings up this message:

Hence, only my most recent 4950 games are available.

That's not true in V3.

This afternoon around 1pm, a lot of pictures were gone for a few hrs. I'm sure the site was testing or uploading something. Its all back now. That's around the timeline for this thread.

...today, when downloading an archive of a user i see that v3 has now reverted to v2-style pagination, instead of endless scrolling. That wasn't the case just the other day so maybe this changeover may have been something to do with it.

While i welcome the change, i note that the page numbers appear only at the bottom of the page, whereas in v2 they were at top and bottom, so still, it's a much slower process than it was in v2...

Wrong.

Nor was this game, played a full ten months earlier, my first blitz game on chess.com. But my rating at the time suggests that it was closer to the beginning.

My correspondence rating on 28 December 2008 was 1688.

Even so, your post does show that older games are available through advanced search. Why it only goes back to October 2009  is not clear.

Patzer24's comment in this thread offers a partial explanation for the absence of older live games in the archive. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/games-archive
