Mobile Tactics/Puzzle bug

Does anybody have this issue using mobile site puzzle/tactics solving?

I tap on a piece square - it is not highlighted. I tap several squares up and it selects the spot 3-4 squares below.

I changed browsers and even tried another phone - the problem is still there.
That started to happen only 2 days ago. I am under Android, using Chrome and Opera

I had a weird issue with the Vision trainer and sometimes Puzzle Rush gets a little sticky where I have to hold down on the piece to get it to select. Haven't done a regular tactic recently to check there.

Just did a quick test and the only problem I had was after missing a tactic, scrolling down to start a new one required some effort to get pieces selected again.  Mainly had to scroll all the way up, so the full board was showing.

I'm loading the default mobile site and not the desktop version.

I just tried as well and didn't have this issue  Has it alwasys been this way for you or just recently?

Which version of android does your device have installed?

It started to misbehave about 3 days ago. I used the mobile site version, not the app (as my old phone android cannot install the newest app). Funny, but menu clicking works fine and even daily chess is ok, it seems like only the chessboard of puzzle solving  that lags.

Have just tried that - the same stuff. My oldest phone has Android 4.1, the newest - 5.1 Both have the issue

I think we have our answer then

5.1 is really quite old. Android doesn't support it any longer. The newest version they still support is 7.0. Anything older than is likely not going to be able to handle newer code that well. 

That isn't to say that something older than 7.0 is completely non-functional, but will likely have issues as you explain. 

I have an Android 7.1.1 and I have the same issue. I'm using Chrome 75.

Is that only for puzzle rush? or live games too? 7.1.1 and Chrome 75 is exactly what I have and I wasn't having any issues.

I have that issue for tactics (rated, learning, Puzzle Rush). The problem is only on the website - on the app rated tactics work perfectly fine. I haven't played live games recently so I don't know if the issue is still there in live games.

No updates on the case? That's it? It is the Android's fault?

We have some new code in the next day or two that we think will help here. I just finished testing it this morning.

Oh, thanks, man! I nearly broke my phone tapping on the screen. LOL
The pieces either stick and don't move or it selects a totally wrong square when you try to put a piece on the board. So annoying.

Looks like the problem is resolved on my newer Android. Will check later the old one.
