This has nothing to do with windows itself. I have this particular issue on Linux using the Brave Browser aswell.
The initial issue absolutely was an issue with Windows. If you're seeing it it's a different cause, potentially a Brave setting that is blocking some site code.
I'm having this issue where the outline or the hand (cursor) disappears and when i move the piece it disappears completely. Tried on Opera and Edge with my windows PC and same thing happens. Works great on my Mac for some reason.

You were right. In Firefox it works without issues.
