My Messages Not Showing Notifications

I haven't noticed this for any other chess.com friends, but when @allieisanerd_7722 messages me, I am not getting any notifications that they messaged. I go into my messages and I see they wrote something. 

Is this a chess.com bug/glitch which needs to be fixed. It is a bit confusing that this happens. Here are 3 screenshots. First is my messages with them; second is me leaving the page (notice no red notification icon on my left sidebar) and then the third screenshot is me returning to the
 messages, but we can see they wrote a new message and I wasn't notified?

the only bug that needs fixed here is light mode kaiba
check and see if you have there notifications turned off in settings

I checked my notification settings and this isn't the problem.

Also, I use light mode because I can't get used to the transparent-like chess board with the background. My focus on chess.com is to play chess, so I use light mode for my chess board. If there was a dark mode where the chess board was unaffected, then I would probably use that.

turn special themes off i think that fixes the board thing, i personally use overlay

have you tried deleting the conversation and reopening it? or logging yourself out of all other sessions and logging back in?
I had the same issue a while ago with a friend and it was because my phone was on the messages chat for them

Thanks, but I just logged out and tried this and logged back in, but it still isn't fixed.

I've had messages load out of order and sometimes, I would see a message in "unread" but not the inbox.

If you typically get alerts via e-mail, check to see if you are getting notifications there at least.

It's unusual that it's just one user you're having that issue with, so maybe something is wrong with their acct?

Thanks for the thoughts @chanelno5x but I'm only having this issue with this specific chess.com friend, or at the very least, I've still gotten messages and other notifications for other things.

I also don't get email alerts; I have everything set for on chess.com (web alerts) because I'm on chess.com way more than email which I almost never use.

Contant an chess mod in the website. They Will fix the problem

I could contact chess.com support about it, but I start with a forum thread in case someone knows what is going on and a thread can usually get an answer faster.

If the thread doesn't lead to a solution, then I'll contact chess.com support or mods/staff.

did u try closing the messages and then messaging them to reopen them?

Yes, doesn't work; I also tried logging out and back in, checking notifications in chess.com settings and more, but none of those methods solve the problem. I've also gotten other notifications and messages since then from other members and it works fine, but only with them my message notifications are not appearing when they message me. It is strange.

Last week I was not receiving any red box notifications for anything, including messages, for about a day. Then the issue resolved itself without me contacting support.

its not a problem on kaibas end, we figured it out, allie for some reason doesnt send anyone notifications when they message someone

Just as an update: I had @allieisanerd_7722 message @Brisingaro and they also didn't receive message notifications, so now we are suspecting it is an account bug type of thing? See if chess.com can figure this one out and fix everything

@KeSetoKaiba it looks like @allieisanerd_7722 's account wasn't fully activated, but I have fixed it and things seem to be good now. Let me know if that's not the case!

Always contact support@Chess.com - they have always been swift for me and if told early they are on top of bugs quickly before they affect many
