Profile Background Suggestion

I like profile backgrounds. It is a cool little feature to add to a chess.com profile.

I currently have the default, black, background. I'd be more inclined to use a background if the foreground notes and statistics didn't cover so much of the images. There should be a button on the profile page to toggle the foreground on or off. This way, the background pictures could be viewed completely; what does everyone else think of this idea? 

Here are a few screenshots with backgrounds, but the foreground covers up a lot of it. The last screenshot is my own profile. I like the basic black for now, but customizing it further would be a neat addition if most of the picture wasn't covered up.

btw, you have the same issue where most of your profile background is covered up by the foreground too.

If you put it in dark more it is... whats the word transparent yea...

For me the backgrounds are a bit annoying... so I would like the option to shut off background mode for when I view other peoples profiles... I am on the classic no background for myself

Depends on if you use dark UI or Light UI. I use Dark UI and here is @MoonWarrior_1 page when I am on it:

Haha I can view the profile and stats fine with light mode... But I prefer dark and have night light always on + dark mode... option to turn off background would be nice since I am on dark mode (which makes the background transparent and the content fuzzy to see; depends on the background though) 

oh, he's on light mode. Chess.com pls give dark mode users opaque text thingy. Half of the time, people's backgrounds make it impossible to see their profile.

Yeah, I run dark mode too, but when I am trying to read something I just click Light UI on the bottom left, read the messages, then click Dark UI and I'm good. They make it really easy to switch back and forth

+1 I didn't know Light Mode gives a more transparent text box, but this would be a cool feature for we Dark Mode users who like Black and its sharp look

Lol its the exact same for everyone... just toggle the dark/light modes

Cool that Light Mode shows the background better, but I still like the idea of a button to toggle the foreground on or off for the Dark Mode users like me

I was experimenting a little with profile backgrounds and light vs dark mode just now. I noticed that light mode and a custom background picture shows up in your profile AND shows up behind the chess board for games and analysis. Is there a way to make the image appear ONLY for the profile and not behind the chess board when playing live chess and analyzing?

I would be open to a custom profile background with light mode (even better would be dark mode but with the toggle option I recommended), but I don't like distractions behind the chess board when I'm analyzing/playing and I don't want to play full screen.

mine is just Parrottopia 

Sometimes you literally can't see anything if the background is messed up though
