Need help understanding spamming.

Are messages that are longer than the country of Chile that are either the same emoji over and over, or a bunch of random letters numbers and symbols considered spamming?
Also im not sure what category this should be in so I'll just put it here.

I thought 'random letters' too and just reported someone who typed only a W. Now I think it means 'win' or that it has some meaning. So I suspect not all single letters are spam (?)
ADDED: And 'meaningless' is subjective. Like this W may be meaningless to me but it has meaning to the OP.

Fair point, W means win, though people use it more broadly now to mean something positive, for example if someone reaches 2500 ELO, and someone comments W, it's basically congratulating them.
