“Network connection was lost”
Did you switch tabs? You might have been disconnected. Maybe also try refreshing. Also there is a feature to adjust your connection: https://support.chess.com/article/1206-what-does-it-mean-to-abort-a-game-how-do-i-do-it.
Are you saying you opened a ticket and didn't get a response?
If you get a similar error when posting, it really sounds like your device or local network is at issue. If you are on a mobile device and have both a wifi and cellular data connection active, try turning off one of them. It possible your device is trying to switch connections periodically and that could be causing network resets.
What is your iOS app version? There was a recent update, so if you're not on that one, you might try that
I also experience this. Completed two puzzles just now and had “network connection was lost” after both of them. Obviously nothing is wrong with my cellular data as I’m using it to write this message and have a strong 4G signal on iOS 16.4.1. My Chess app was updated only a few days ago.
Good developers would be able to maintain stable services even with a patchy connection. Alas, I’ve learned to set expectations low with chess.com.
This is driving me nuts, why can the app not store state and submit to the servers when it has connectivity again?
I have the same problem. It happens over stable wifi and nobile network. Been happening for months. Especially when doing puzzles.
Yep, same here. Solved one’s will be disregarded after the error message „network connection lost“, wrong ones will count as minus points. Extremely frustrating and the track record is completely spoiled.
