I made a variant where the board is split in half. No queens, two kings per player. Two games of chess on a 4x8 grid side by side. Each player plays black on one half and white on the other. I don't think it's possible to make the variant on here, or Lichess, but wondered if anyone knew how to implement it. I've played on a physical board and I think it's fun enough :)
