No 50 move rule?

Just had to move my king around in the same spots for 500 moves because my opponent didn't want to accept a draw - Why doesn't the game end after 50 moves of no capture/pawn advance? Isn't that a chess rule?

Yes. Do you have a link to the game?

I'm pretty sure that just like in OTB, the draw must be claimed.  There is no automatic mechanism that just awards it to you.

Wow, over 400 moves of nothing. That game absolutely should have ended in a draw well before that, and that's definitely a drawn position. Did you offer a draw at any time, it may have been necessary?

Thanks for the link, really amazing!!! If you had clicked a draw-button after 50 moves and nothing happened, then there's something wrong - bug?
I played a 500-move long game too, but it was unrated & Online Chess... http://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-showcase/longest-online-game---500-moves

However, you must click draw-button to claim it.
