No e-mail otifications of new moves in Correspondence games.

Just as the title says. More often than not, I am not receiving e-mail notifications of moves made by my opponents.

My friends have also mentioned that they also do not receive e-mail notifications of my moves either, which has caused them to lose on time in several instances.

Now as for myself, I can assure you that the messages are not going into my spam folder. So my question is: why are the move-notification messages not being sent reliably?

First thing to check is your Email & Alerts page to make sure the notify box is checked.  Home>Account>Alert & Email setting.

 Email Settings


  • Also send alerts to my default contact email address.

    (In most cases, you will only receive 1 email per login.)

  • It's OK to email me about Chess.com news and announcements.

    (You will NEVER receive 3rd party email or non-Chess.com email.)

Thanks for your reply baddogno. I examined those settings and I have everything already selected. (Screenshot for reference):

 

The strange thing is  I do receive e-mails occasionally. For example I received a notification this morning for when it was my turn to move. However the last three times it was my turn I received no e-mails about it, and found that the clock was down to less than 18 hours for me to move.

It just seems very random and unreliable.
