well thats great but I am not a computer programer . if you buy a computer you either get windows or apple. I dont have time to write code and constantly play with my operating system. thats what I pay this site to do. keep up with the technology so I can play chess!

I downloaded and installed a linux OS one time out of curiosity, found it to be not very different from windows. Instead of blue, it was brown. No big technicalities, worked right off the bat.

Ubuntu, I think it was called.

Yes there are many different Linux distributions, mint, Ubuntu etc etc its just awesome.

Yes there are many different Linux distributions, mint, Ubuntu etc etc its just awesome.

If I didn't game on the latest titles, I'd consider switching.

 

They write games for Windows first, then apple and then maybe linux (soon... sometime... when we get time...promise!).

 

However, if you're not a gamer, it must be an attractive proposition.
