no pieces

I dont see the pieces on the board when I log on. If I hold the mouse pointer over the "My Move" button the small board appears as always and shows the position, but on the board I have to move on there are no pieces. I borrowed a different computer and the pieces were there, just not on my computer. I am not the most computer literate person either. Can anyone help? Is there anything maybe I have to download? Everything else is there, the daily chess puzzle, the articles, just not the pieces to the board!

first off what type of computer do u have and most of all how old. and what type of windows.  the year of your computer . will tell me that.

It is a Dell, I dont know how old, its at work. At least 4 years old. Windows XP. It was working up until this morning. In fact, when I logged on this morning the first game I moved in had the pieces showing! When I made the move and the screen went to the second game, there were no pieces, and hasnt been since. I also play at another chess site, and the pieces are there, I dont know if this info helps or not....

Well, after an 8 hour hiatus they came back. Also, there is support at the site for this problem which I did not know existed, so I am all set now. Thanks for your reply!
