not able to log in to live chess.. Site shows loading.. and nothing happens

When I click on Live Chess, the screen shows loading & then nothing happens.. I continue to see Loading only. Pls help. I tried many times during the week but always the same.

Sorry you're having trouble on live chess. Can you please let me know what type of browser and operating system you're using? I'd like to have you try clearing your browsing cache to see if that helps at all.

I am having the same problem.  I am using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8.  Please assist.  I have cleared my browsing cache and it made no difference. Everything was working well until 36 hours ago.

Hi Everyone. I'm really sorry that you're having issues still loading live chess. Can you please let me know what browser and operating system each of you are using? Can you also please specify what version of the operating system (Windows 8, Windows XP, Mac OS X Mavericks, etc.)? Are there any plugins or extensions installed on your browsers? Are you running any type of security software (firewalls, antivirus, etc.)?

@pcw1- Have you tried using any other browsers besides Internet Explorer to see if that changes your experience at all? We do typically suggest using Chrome or Firefox. 

Is anyone having issues accessing any other areas of the site? (Tactics, Chess Mentor, etc.)?

2. what type of plugins / extensions you are talking about?

3. I was not running any security software at the time of login into chess . com

4. I am able to use Tactics Trainer.. play against Computer etc

First of all, thank you for this great site! I very much enjoy playing chess here.

I have the same problem.

Unfortunately, I cannot  load the live chess pages anymore. It has worked in the past, but since a few days I only get the grey page with the loading symbol and nothing happens. Have you changed some system requirements? I am using a Mac 10.4 with Safari. I did clear my chache and cookies, tried several times reload and restart, nothing worked. Please let me know what else I could do. I even installed Firefox and there is the same problem. Google Chrome does not work on my computer.

Well, and the "send" button on the support page is not working either, that´s why I am posting it here.

Day after day goes by and the system is only showing "loading..." and then nothing happens. I´m having the same problem as the other users. I´m using the Internet Explorer and Windows 6. I don´t know which plugins or extensios are installed here.

Don't want to be repetitive but I am having the same problem with Windows XP and Internet Exporer. It shows "loading" but nothing happens. I have tried all recommendations but it is still happenning. I have tried two more computers  ( another desktop and a laptop) and the problem persists on the three. It started happening a couple of weeks ago.

@Toadlicker00- What version of OSx are you using? Have you tried any other browsers besides Safari? What version of Safari do you currently have installed?

@chesslady8- What version of Firefox do you currently have installed?

@knut74 & pianisimo - Have you tried using any other browsers besides Internet Explorer? We typically suggest using Chrome or Firefox

I use OSX 10.4 I use safari 4.1.3. It doesnt seem to make much difference what browser people use. People are having the same problem on multiple diff. browsers 

Safari 4.1.3 is a rather old version of Safari :( Would you be able to try downloading Firefox or Chrome?

I was having the same problem... turned out to be the adblock extension. Disabled it and everything worked fine...

I know safari 4.1.3 is old but i cant upgrade and i have the same problem on other computers with newer software.Im not a "computer person" but it seems to me if several people are having the same problem on different browsers/OS then why would updaing help? My computers at work have the newest software and i have the same problem there. asking people what browsers they use isnt solving anything.
