Recently i played with a player who was about to lose. But unlike all serious chessplayer he didnt continue to play (not even resigned) , but he stopped playing . He did that in order to force me to resign because 60 minutes were left on the clock of both of us and there was a bonus of 50 seconds per move...(this means that the game had more than 60 minutes in order to be completed).Although i hadnt the luxury of time i decided to wait . 20 minutes later i was told that i won and a there was a message in the chat that said tha the player had violated fair play rules. I blocked this person but i would like to know if there is a more valuable way to deal with such player that ''cheat''.

News to me also, but I spend no time in live chess here. I looked around and found a related group that should be able to provide you an answer: http://www.chess.com/groups/view/chesscom---live-chess-moderators

I think that to send a question to a moderator within live chess, you type /help followed by your question.

please invent a "thinking" button according to time control,

just to make sure players still thinking not leaving the game and browsing anywhere.
