Not worth paying for, we need another choice

I have to make my daily moves when the system allows it, not when I feel like playing chess, like it is a chore now- I better check my games before I lose on time- if I can move at all. I paid to access game reviews, which are often somewhat incorrect and sometimes way off, if they generate at all. When I asked for a refund, they offered two free months, which I never actually accepted, yet they automatically did that instead of cancelling the account. Typical American corporation- promises the world, doesn't deliver, and still charges you just the same. Chesscom should not be a chess monopoly, and they show us precisely why. Their goal was to control online chess, not necessarily facilitate it, and why should they, there's no other choice left for people to go, so they don't have to hurry to correct anything, as we've clearly seen them not do. Oh, and don't believe they can't help it, they CHOSE to under- support their system in order to decrease operating costs, that's a decision, not some accident they couldn't have possibly prevent. Their goal was to CAPTURE the online chess market, to keep anyone else from having a real share, and guess what? They did. Does that mean everyone is playing on chesscom? No, we can't. That doesn't matter to them, it is not part of their calculation, they have  your subscription money for those who subscribe and the tracking info of those who don't (and those who did pay too, of course). Their mission is accomplished, thus the supreme smugness of anyone working at checsscom when you try to complain- they think they're winners and you're just whining about not getting what you were promised and can't you see they're crushing it? Who's "winning"- they are... Who loses? The chess community does.

Did you reply after the offer and say no to that? If not and you still want the refund, you should let them know.

As to investment in the site infrastructure, there was a doubling in site traffic and they have been continuously working on different things to get changes in place to handle the current loads and prepare for additional 3-5x increases.

As evident from the first 502 error surge, Chess.com is doing their best to resolve the problem at hand. I hardly get any error now.

That said, It can be really frustrating to lose daily games on time especially when you have a dominant position or advantage. I will be lying if I say I completely understand your frustration as I do not share similar experience as you in daily games. I don't have any problem making moves in my games.

Please just be patient as the site will soon be completely restored and Chess.com do care about the game and their customers.
