Are you using the iOS app? If so please uninstall and reinstall. The fix was released a few days ago :)

Not au fait with this, what's an iOS app? All i know is I installed Chess.com from the Apple Store to my iPhone 4.
Please uninstall the app and reinstall it from the App Store :) We've released an update that should fix the isuse.

Hi. It's still taking too long to load, are there still problems?
Does it get stuck on any specific screen? Is the actual app taking a long time to open or are you having problems loading a game?
It gets stuck every time on the "On line" screen. The loading sign is on continuously each time and it loads a game eventually, the same problem as previously. The loading sign wasn't stuck like this before the update, it loaded straight away and went straight to a game as soon as I touched it. The "Live" chess takes quite a few minutes to create the challenge often and never loads a rematch following an opponent's request.
Ps no problem accessing the actual app. While the loading sign is on on the online screen it won't access the other screens without delay, either.
what apple product are you using?
iPhone 4. The loading sign is there permanently until I touch a game and then it stays on for a while and then loads eventually.

Sorry, not sure what context you mean, time elapsed from what?
If I wait, the loading sign continues indefinitely and nothing happens. If I touch one of the games in progress or one of the other categories, ie, tournaments, it loads eventually. Haven't timed it but it seems to vary, sometimes say 30 secs up to a minute. Occasionally it doesn't load a game at all so I come out and go back in. It used to load straight away previously.
Did you uninstall and reinstall when you updated or did you update overtop of the previous version? Do you have any other apps running in the background on your phone?

Initially I updated over the top of the previous version but when I reported problems I did as requested and uninstalled and reinstalled the updated version. Yes, have had other apps running and close the apps (not every day as forget) but prob still there when close background apps.

The length of the loading time may be related to your internet connection. If you're connecting with 3G and you're able to connect with wi-fi, we do suggest you switch to Wi-Fi.
If you're only having the problem when looking for a challenge, it may be that you need to widen your search parameters- as that may help to get you a game faster.
But I never had a problem loading pre-update! And I'm not having the problem just when looking for a challenge, it's never loaded as it should for anything since the update. The loading circle's going permanently when I go to the one line chess page. I try to get to my list of games by moving the screen up and when I manage to touch a game it loads eventually.
Cd anyone on the staff pl tell me if the ongoing problems accessing on line and live chess are being fixed? I can't see that I've had any responses from staff to previous messages. It's not loading properly and the access for live chess button is buried under the quit button. I wish I'd never updated it.
