Opening database slow?

I thought I could ignore this and it would go away or get fixed eventually, but this has been an issue now for weeks. The opening DB just says loading ECO database for a long time... sometimes minutes. Makes opening explorer useless.

Also, the opening from the previous game sticks around in the slot during the next game, so when you're playing live, the opening is almost always wrong. I guess in OTB play you're not supposed to have any extra information anyway, but it's always been there and it was a good way for me to learn what the openings are. Now it's useless for that purpose.

And it's almost useless for daily chess, and it of course completely breaks opening explorer.

Is this happening to everyone or just me for some reason?

I lost because I did not know what opening my opponent was playing but when i looked at it, I say I knew how to counter it.

I also have the same issue, but very interestingly, I noticed I only have it when on my home computer, not my work computer.

I wrote about this issue to Chess.com support months ago, and didn't even get a decent response.
