paid for diamond but no access

I paid for a year of unlimited access last week. Everything was working fine until last night when suddenly I was alerted I maxed out my lessons and needed to get premium to have unlimited access. I have the receipt from apple and also when I click subscribe it says I’m already subscribed. I’ve emailed chess.com twice the last 12 hours and no reply. Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

You will have to wait for them to get back to you.

I would guess that your payment was rejected somewhere down the line.

How much time does it take? Strange to pay for a product which unlocks stuff, and have to wait for hours or days until it unlocks. The money has already been withdrawn from my account. That should lead to an instant unlocking of the content paid for.

Chess.com is still a small business. They have to process payments from all over the world.

Believe it or not, that sometimes still requires people to be involved.   They don't all work 24 hours a day.

I know it’s frustrating but they will make it right, in fact I was messaged with a IM inside the app by an admin to make sure it was fixed correctly. I know first hand it’s frustrating but they will make you whole in this situation.

It took about three days but they made it more than right in the end. They need to expand tech and customer service I assume but trust me they will fix it.

That's fair enough. I just think it should be stated clearly, as people are used to a quick solution when it comes to online purchase. I'm sure they'll come around, I just didn't expect it to take so long. As the previous poster said: more tech staff would probably be a good idea.

bigg73: I have a similar problem. I paid through iTunes for a gold subscription. They took the money plus taxes, but it didn't go through chess. com. 

I contacted helpdesk, but no one responded. I sent a second request for information, the same thing. So far, nothing.

Bisphop0Bartow, I wrote to HelpDesk with an issue three months ago. They never responded. I wrote to them again, the same thing. So, to give them time is nothing but a waste of time!!!

You just joined a week ago. Perhaps you had trouble with your previous account?

You are correct. It was a previous account which I had closed six months into it, When requested chess.com to re-activate it a couple of months later, no one did anything about it despite the fact that I sent them a couple of e-mails respectfully asking them to please do it.

Sorry to hear that. They have usually responded when I email them.
