Today, I moved my Queen to check my opponent and aimed for a potential win. However, instead of landing on the intended square, the Queen moved to the one before it, where the opponent's Bishop was positioned. Consequently, the Bishop captured my Queen. This isn't the first time such an issue has arisen! I'm beginning to suspect either my opponent is manipulating moves, or there's a glitch in the app.
I've lost 4 games in the last week because of this. Seems to be 2 different things that happen. One is a piece will just completely move by itself without me touching the board at all and the other that just happened to me for the second time in 2 days is a piece moved to an entirely different spot than where I pressed. It makes me so mad losing a whole game because the app itself has a glitch.
I have just played a game and in the end my Queen was moving by itself. IT has been happening quite alot to me. I used to think it was because of my wet hand but since it happens quite often so this time I am sure I did not touch the screen because my hand was always on alert of that bug!
I play on a computer with a good internet connection, and this has happened to me 3 times this month alone. I have lost 32 elo because of this problem in a winning situation. This is on a ranked rapid game. Using a mouse and cursor. Very carefully. I hope to see this problem get fixed soon, as I enjoy playing chess and this problem has made it unenjoyable. I have lost my queen, and it loses me the game.
The bug is still around and it's quite annoying from time to time. I hope they will something about it.
Really not a excuse for my lose but after three years there is still bugs, it just happened to me when using app to play
This happened to me just now on the android phone using the chrome browser. I was in a winning position, Queen was in D4 and next thing it was in D1. I was so furious, I just resigned straight away. Then after I resigned, the Queen was back on D4, I am so mad

I've played most of my games on Android and haven't come across it yet. Idk why only some people experience it.
Ok I've changed over to the laptop and it's a better experience

BRO, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPEND TO ME, WTF?
Same thing just happened to me... I was about to take a rook with my Queen and the Queen moved on to a square that was covered by a pawn, and I didn't even have my hand on the mouse! So I resigned. Great fun! :-D
And to me yet again. A VERY disappointing loss from a great position - all of a sudden, my queen is taken. C'mon CHESS.COM this is obviously a glitch.
Fix it.

I've had rooks and queens disappear it usually happens after a couple glasses of scotch and couple Xanax.

It happened to me, there were 3 moves, i don't use pre-moves and my queen was gone. not that there is prize money, but it sucks
This happened to me also over the past couple of days. I was playing on the chess.com app on Android when, all of a sudden, my pieces started moving by themselves for multiple moves, even resigning without me touching anything on my phone screen. I tried to screen record, but I couldn’t record within the app. I'm lost now.
I'm sure they were joking
