pieces dont make sounds

All the sound worked fine until some time today.

Now I can't hear the sound of pieces moving on the chessboard and it's really throwing me off.

I'm using Opera Browser and don't have any extension that interfere and adblocker is disabled too.

Things that I tried to fix this is, but didn't work is disabling tracker blocker, turning sound off and on in options, changing the sound theme to another theme.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Same issue with mozilla.

Same issue here today with Firefox. According to the other sound from my system, the sound is not disabled.

same issue + my board and piece settings are ignored and forced to default
