pieces won't move to desired spaces

maintenance sign has been up for several days; then, when board appears and I try to move pieces, they return to original space and I have to attempt movement 4-5 times beforew they finally move

Just had a similar problem in a 1 minute tournament. Quite frustrating to move a peice a number of times in a lightening game. Using firefox, but I don't think it is a browser or internet connection issue as all other game features were functioning in a normal and timely manner.

I HAVE SAME PROBLEM. MY PIECES RETURN TO ORIGINAL SPACE AND SO FRUSTRATION.  i CAN NOT PLAY LIKE THIS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Have you tried deleting your browser's cookies and temporary files and logging in again?

Deleting the cookies and temp files does solve the problem temporarily. Not exactly convenient to do in the middle of a livechess tournament though.

I to am having same problem 10 to 12 moves takes me 15min most flustrating.

im very tired of cleaning my pc over and over. Im thinking its some thing in your update?

I just lost because of this... 2 moves to mate with 20 secs left... and the bug strikes!

It could be a problem with the phone touch screen as well. I can't play LC on my phone because the touch screen move the pieces wrong sometimes. For online chess, no problems as I can use the cancel button, but I can't struggle with that in a 5-10 min game or faster....

It used to happen to me when I was to capture another piece, if I just wanted to move to a free square was ok, but now, sometimes it also happens that I cant move anything. I move by click click, and if it doesnt work, I have to change to grab drop, which is very uncomfortable to me, but it seems to work.
