playing against an "(unrated)" player?

I began a game against someone who had a rating of 1730, but now next to the players name it says "(unrated)". What does this mean? Will my rating still change upon the completion of the game, or has the game now become unrated? Or is it just an oddity of the glicko system?

It means that the game is unrated.  It isn't an oddity of the glicko system, either you or your opponent probably made it that way accidentally.

Nope, I think this is a small bug that occured today. I looked at your games, and none of them are unrated. I think the rating change will function properly, and it's just a display issue until your now (unrated) opponent finishes another game.

But I'm not positive.
