For many years the app has played very, very poorly with background audio.
On the latest Android build, music gets muted for a second every time that the chess app attempts to make a move sound notification.
Please add a software mute that completely turns off all interactions with system audio (note that even forcing your app to volume zero through the system does not stop these issues).
I know that sounds in apps are hard - but this is driving me to play local robots on other apps instead of real people...
