I have been playing chess online for quite some time already and have earned one (1) point.  I just wonder, how do we earn and accumulate points?

Be careful though, too many points will identify you as a prolific spammer. You will incur the ire of your fellow chess.com members, possibly the staff and may even start moving in unsavoury circles.
