Sorry about your dad's passing. He sounds like he was a good soldier. Good luck & God Bless to you and your family. By the way I have been to your country '68-'69 and went on several missions with ARVN Rangers.

[I think it's a little too soon for that sort of attempt at humour, RJC, given that it's still very much happening right now.

tbh this thread is click bait, OP never paid anything and is trying to get chess.com to give him FREE membership, ban this fraud.

Ban me from what...I don't have a membership.

Wow, Customer Support working on a Sunday....sent them a copy of my transaction they finaly asked for... This makes me think - if they will...Promptly activate my membership without any more hassel....apologize for the delay...and make all necessary repairs so others don't have the same problems. We'll see.

Or will they blame me or Facebook...give several excues why it wasn't their fault, ask for other information, not activate my membership for another 3-4 days or longer.

BBB rating is based on 16 factors. Get the details about the factors considered.

Factors that lowered Chess.com's rating include:

14 complaints filed against business

Failure to respond to 4 complaints filed against business.

Our complaint history for this company shows the company gave proper consideration to complaints presented by the Bureau

Wow, 14 people similiar to the OP and the bbb comes up with their rating???

What a joke.

On a daily basis I see dozens of people here making bogus complaints and it takes 14 for the bbb to make a conclusion? What a load of crap. A few troublemakers unfortunately get the most attention.

After reading these posts, it is very clear the OP is looking to stir the pot. He could very easily go about the issue, as suggested, in a courteous fashion, but instead makes several dozen inflammatory remarks .

That's the story, and sticking to it.

And the OP has the membership applied now. Everytime I have seen a membership question/problem come up like this, it gets resolved, usually in just a few days.

Well I appreciate Member Support- Matt, for working on Sunday...but keep in mind it took almost a week...to get my membership activated...So is that your definition of a " few days " ? And there was no explanation why it took so long ? Chess.com needs to improve their service.

@Crezy... then why not take it up with them instead of creating a thread, making dozens of inflammatory remarks? You had an agenda beyond getting the membership squared away. Btw, I'll wager the problem was most likely on both ends. Often transactions fail to be implemented for failure to confirm something or other. Anyway, good to see the issue resolved. I see in your profile you played 1000's of games a few years back. Membership is cheap, well worth the $

Well I was frustrated and thought a thread might help. Maybe it did? And btw its Crecy, or Ed.

Oops my bad. Eyes playing tricks again.

Crecy. Got it

Got me to thinking. .Does chess lend itself to learning patience or the opposite... move, move now ! Frustration !
