Precise Rules for Using Opening Book in Correspondence Chess

Hey, just rejoined after many years and I started a couple correspondence games.  We are still allowed to refer to an opening book, correct?

My question is about -which- opening book.  I am playing a Scotch Gambit and in Chess.com's own database it says "no games found in the database from this position" literally after Bc4 . . . which is weird, b/c our game white got here via the Center Game move order, but if I look at the position from the Scotch Game move order then it shows like 3,000 games with Bc4.

I'm still in a theoretical position and would (obviously) like to look up what the theoretical response(s) is.  Am I allowed to look in an actual book, or like, a larger game database?  For reference, here is the game:

And here is a screenshot of what appears to be chess.com's opening book (I clicked "Openings" next to Moves, Chat, Info, Notes) telling me that there have been no games played from the Scotch Gambit:

Thanks!

Any static resources are fine.  Actual books of course are fine.  Heck you can even watch a video on the opening.  Most DBs are too unless they are hooked to an engine in the "cloud".   Have fun!
