Problem with creating articles

This is what happened when I tried to create and submit an article...
--
I wanted to use the tool for inserting diagrams, problems, chess games; so as to illustrate a game mentioned in an article that I wanted to submit.  Incredibally, after inserting the illustration about 15 minutes later, and subsequently reviewing my article, I found that a huge portion of the text was no longer there.  In other words, the article was ruined, and I had wasted 15 minutes for nothing!  Has this happened to other members?

Hmm, writing articles and inserting games with annotations works perfectly fine for me.

What web browser are you on? Maybe that could be the root of the problem. I have always navigated Chess.com on Mozilla FireFox and I have never had a problem. Maybe you should try this browser.

I use mozilla firefox...  I had done the article text first; it was already in place, so I assumed that the diagram would be inserted (I checked the insert-box) at the end or beneath the text.  Maybe I should have inserted the diagram first, and then followed it with the text?

My pc setup is fairly standard - P.4, Win-XP Pro, and I have a broadband connection.  I'll try the article again but this time I'll insert the diagram first, see if that helps...

Write the article in notepad first or in any text program, so that you always have a backup.

That is a fair point - guess I never thaught of it.  Anyway, the chopped-down version somehow ended up in My Home unsubmitted, so I just submitted it as it was.  If my grammer is all mixed up there - blame the wine...Foot in mouth  It is called the immortal game.

the instability of the internet can cause problems. i recommend you SAVE AS DRAFT anything you are working on every 5-10 minutes.
