Sorry, the message keeps getting sent... Anyhow to continue, as well as having to reopen the app to try and get matched, when (Puzzle Battle) games start now, there seems to be so much delay that I seem to be starting 5-10 (sometimes more) seconds behind, thus at a very big disadvantage to my opponent. Anyone else having this problem or experienced it before?
Have you written to support@chess.com?
I see you are currently in the hourly leaders, so it must be working intermittently for you.

I just played Puzzle Battle once on the app and I had no problems. Obviously, you are playing many games and have occasional problems.
Have you used the Report Problem link in the Android app settings? It generates an email to support where you can explain the problem. It also sends your device info. (Occasionally that is the problem.)
Hi justbefair, thanks very much for the advice. I'll try that to get in touch with support. Yes I am getting games currently, but it's been extremely laborious! As I mentioned above, it's (near enough) literally: open app, Puzzle Battle, press New Game, wait 3-5 seconds, close app, reopen app, repeat until a match comes up. The key bit here is that I don't wait too long before closing it as for some reason, I don't know if my challenge still "hangs in the air" thereby allowing it to be matched even when I've closed the app. I know this as I have observed my Puzzle Battle rating go down a number of times just because of this. Also as I mentioned above, sometimes when I get a game, it only comes up on my screen a few seconds in, so sometimes my opponent will have done 10 puzzles by that point for example. As you can imagine, this whole thing is very frustrating!
