The pgn file has embedded variations. The game either has been analyzed by someone, with suggestions on what could have happened, or via an engine for the same reason. I don't know about that program but usually the first move listed is the one played in the game.

I hope this question fits in here - if not im sorry.
I just downloaded CBase Chess on my iPhone and I was going through a game to learn when suddenly a window popped up: "Select variation"... I have now the choice between two different moves.
As the games were actually played (linares_2001) it doesn't make any sense to me. I doubt that the opponents tried different times from a specific point of the game...
