My assumption has been that chess.com has had this picture as default background. But on second thought, maybe it was me myself who took this picture from the internet and set it as background here. I don't remember anymore how this went, I've seen this background for many years now.

The site only has backgrounds in themes, so you would have needed to upload it. There is no way to revert, so you would need to upload it again.
