When a puzzle is newer, it may not have a rating (or at least not a stabilized one). I think chess.com uses these to test who solves it correctly or not and then assigns a rating later. If you get these correct, then I think you get the usual rating, but if you get it wrong, then they still give you +1 point.
That’s what I think, but I might be wrong on some details of it. I don’t solve puzzles that often.
Thank you for responding, Seto!! But notice I lost 9 points on the unrated one from today. Certain aspects of puzzling appear to be hidden from us and of course draws my attention and curiosity! 
I don’t know. Maybe it’s got some “provisional” rating that isn’t showing? I’d love for a staff member knowledgeable with coding to respond. I remember having to learn where the power button was to turn on the computer! xD

Thank you! So they rate them fairly quickly since this was from today - that's good to know! I see why it's handled this way with new Rated Puzzles. 
One thing thats pretty fun to see, is that the rating still changes fairly easily. My guess is within these 2 new atttempts, one passed and one failed, but that way the solve rate went down and the rating went up
Is that coz the puzzles are still "new" and being evaluated..??

I don't care about game ratings but I DO care about puzzle ratings since it is direct indication of ME against ME. It bothers me that an unrated Puzzle gave a -9 instead of a +1. Sure, it was a *SIMPLE puzzle but I would never double-stack pawns in front of my King!

I dont either, the engine is kinda just weird, i mean i did it first try after calculating for 5min, its so counter intuitive and going to be nearly impossible to defend, i mean as a human, i just wouldnt take in a game, EVER.

How can Rated Puzzles have no rating? So far, I've found six but there are two from today. Can anyone explain why this happens? BTW, the data is pulled from Profile's Stats > Puzzles and the *25-item Rated puzzle results list bottom of page.
ADDED: This list of puzzles is scrolling - only the last 25 Rated puzzles appears on this list (from what I can gather).
