Rating calculation question

I was wondering, when a game ends and your rating is recalculated, does it use the rating of your opponent from when the game started, or his rating at the time the game ends?

Interesting.. I started playing a guy with a rating of 1200 or so.. he's beating me, and now I noticed his rating is over 1300.. So if it uses the end game rating, I guess I'll just drag the game out and hope his rating goes even higher by the time he beats me Cool
