Fropm what you say, I wonder if you could be cynical and have a vacation for a month leaving 5 games where you were one move from mate and then play them on your return.
it's just glicko, the worst rating system out there...
I have played about 200 games and if I play someone around my own level I go up or down by 7 - 9 points. If I beat someone much better than me I think the most I can get is 15 and if I lose to someone much worse I lose up to 15.
What I don't understand is why some players seem to get more points for a win. e.g. I just played a player who had 2 more points than me before I resigned (1590 vs 1592) he has played 239 games (so not a newcomer) either, but scored 17 points for beeting me (I lost 8).
