Remove ended 24hr games from "play" on mobile

Hello,
Can anyone please explain to me how to remove my past games from the "play" screen on the mobile app. I have 7 24hr games showing in there at all times which have all been over for 3+ months.
Ive tried long press, swipe it to the side, etc. Most normal things that would remove/delete something in other apps with no luck. Im positive I'm missing something right in front of me.
Iphone XS Max, latest IOS version.
