hello, a student of mine who spends countless hours studying and who had an incredible growth in term of chess level has seen his account banned and being confident that the level he demonstrates online is pretty much like when he plays over the board, i'm also confident that he never cheated so is it possible to request an unban from chess.com

He has to make the appeal himself. No one can do it for him.
He should write to support@chess.com and tell them what you have said.
