Well I don't agree with this policy.

What I would be in favour of is adjusted membership fees for poorer countries.

For me the annual fee would be nothing, but I can understand why in India if the fee is at a set rate it's a bigger problem.

Agreed (Mine was gifted, btw. I didn't buy my diamond)

I request to this site honour to pay attention here :

For all non-premium members, some more things should be provided.

  • 10 tactics per day
  • 2 lessons per day
  • 1 video lesson per week
  • Deep analysis of daily games
  • A few more drills
  • Power to organise a tournament
  • Opening Explorer for 10 moves
  • CAPS in Analysis

Btw, do you mean organising live tournaments, or daily tournaments?

Yeah, there is something known as PPP Purchasing Power Parity. If someone tries to buy a hotdog in USA lets say its 2 dollars... its cheap for them. PPP conversion for India-USA is nearly Rs 20 for every dollar...

so they would "feel" to lose 2 dollars or Rs. 40 for the hotdog

and when indians try to buy a hotdog produced in their country, its same 40 rupees.

But if indians try to BUY a hotdog from USA they would  be  charged Rs. 130 for the hotdog... as $1=~Rs. 65

so if they bring up PPP, indians would "feel" the same pain in spending money on chess.com as the developed countrymen do.

Didn't knew that

I didn't know that too

Yeah, that's why they scream "It's damn cheap" all the time while we say "It's not a good option for value for money".

MainframeSupertasker

I know someone told me that he will get an IphoneX as his birthday gift. He told me it is not that costly.

I asked "WHAAAAAAAAAT?" then after trying on the PPP exchange, i found it is as costly as my laptop tongue.png

No probs. It just doesn't make sense on making another membership, when we already have 3
