You quit, you quit.

It wouldn't exactly be right to say "OK, I'm doing terrible, I quit" and then weeks later say "Wait the 2nd place person is having problems so nevermind put me back in."

In addition, it's already recorded as losses when you withdraw, so there isn't any going back.

It's still opaque as to whether you are actually in the tournament or not. If you clicked the withdraw button, yeah you quit, and you can't hop back in.
