Rybka3

Does anyone know of some resource where I can learn how to get the most out of Rybka?  I bought Rybka 3 but I suspect I am not using it to its full ability.  For example, if i want it to analyze a game, right now i need to simulate playing a game, forcing the engine to move and then take back if the move doesn't match the game I want analyzed.  Seems pretty silly that I can't paste in a text version of the game, but I must be doing something wrong.  Thanks in advance.

What GUI are you using?

Yea, What GUI? Is it aquirium fritz or chess assistent?

For Aquirium the Anylisis mode's are in the sandbox pane.

For fritz the anylisis modes are under Toos-Anylisis

For chessassistent, I dont know, I don't own it so no hope their. From what I hear chess assistent sucks. You might want to get a diffrent GUI or use Arena for free.

Thanks guys.  I didn't realize I need a GUI as well.  All I did was install Rybka from the disc.  I have an icon on my desktop that allows me options to play rybka, play on the internet, and access a limited database.  So do I need Fritz, Aquarium or Arena?  If so how do I get them?

Fritz and aquarium you need to buy (though there probably is an old version of fritz out there for free).

Arena is free, go to http://www.playwitharena.com/

and then click on Arena Downloads on the left pane.

Thanks, bondiggity.  I'd be interested if anyone has an opinion on, assuming cost is not an issue, which is the easiest to use and which has the best analysis?  Thanks.
