Did you have in mind just the position - or the moves leading up to that point? The former will have limited appeal, I feel. The latter can be achieved, to some extent, using Game Explorer from Vote Chess games.

I feel there should be an easy way to share the current board to others in social network. Say an ability to create a shortlink that would take to a board with pieces (and any small notes one has left) - but not showing player names information.
Any thoughts anyone ?
