Site keeps crashing?

You are right jacklondon it is chrome browser,but it only does it on this site,I have never had it happen on any other site. 

Well enough is enough I have gone back to using firefox and strange as it sounds the site is running faster already?

Never worked better. I was gonna ask u last night if things seemed faster n more stable.

btw I use Opera for this site n Maxthon (this is sorta like ie but better) for a lot of other sites. I'll dabble with Firefox too but I never had any problems except in Maxthon and those were really minor n rare and that could have been something else besides my browser like downloading a crapload of torrents. (ex. analysis board taking long to pop up n not sized right)

Myself i use IE8 without any problems
While no one write IE as advice, how come.

In the past (roughly 1 year ago) i tried firefox but that one seemed for me slower then IE and had a few crashes in the first week, so i uninstalled it.

Every time i thought that there was something wrong with my browser, their where problems on the sites i was visiting, including Chess.com. I was trying to find a sollution and while i was busy, suddenly there was a message. Sorry we are working on the site to make it better.

But agreed to the advices to clean regulary. temp files and cookies slow down quickly very much. But also be sure to have Chess.com in the thrusted sites, when you upload pictures or other files, else you get many security questions because these features uses popup screens, what are mostly blocked in standard settings.

If you download CCleaner, read the options before installing! If you select the default settings, it will install lots of garbage (Yahoo! toolbar, Java Quickstarter addon, etc.)

I'm using Opera Browser 10.50 Beta 2, and no problems here!

I have no problems with this browser, no matter where I use it, I Love Opera! :-)

Hello, I believe that the problem is meebo, the thing has a million cookie/ history if you are letting it run, I keep closing it and when I do my computer runs fine, don't know alot about the tech. stuff, but I have no use for meebo, since it started to lock up my computer, hope this helps.

I can understand what you are saying but I have not had meebo running this morning and its STILL happened 

 You use the Opera Mini for mobilephones and Opera Mobile for PDA's, iPhone's and so on. ;-)

yes indeed opera mini is on my phone its sweet lil thing I like it ...

We need more details about, what's happens on your computer, when the crash happens?

Is it only on Chess.com?
How many applications running in the background?

I don't know who your isp is but I'm with BT and my connection this morning has been very very slow, pages that normaly load instantly have been taking 20 secons or more. I'm also in Manchester btw

I am with talktalk and its not just been this morning it was happening on and off all day yesterday too

If it's the internet connection in general..

Then it's normal, almost every internet connection have bad times, and there can be many reasons.

Maybe there is more people on the internet at the same time than normally, maybe you have a application in the background (you can't see) there are using much speed.

Maybe you can take a internet connection speed test here: http://speedtest.net/

It's the best internet connection speed test, just choose a server nearest your location on the map.
