which pages load slowly? all of them?
you should DEFINITELY upgrade your browser to firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox ) , though the dialup doesn't help either. i'm not sure though why it would be so slow for you. anyone else having these problems?
I have similar problems, only pages with interactive chess boards or when I'm in a game does it load slowly. Sometimes it takes a minute to refresh once I hit the "Submit Move" button. But, I'm on the school LAN and this computer runs off the server, I am guessing it's the slow computer and not the internet connection, atleast for me.
Yikes, dial up connection and Windows 98, talk about ancient! Yeah, I think these two things could be blamed for the slow web browsing.
This site is really good but, the pages are real slow to load. I get page freezes at times until something loads then all is ok. It is annoying to wait for the page to load. I have no problems with other sites. I am on dialup running Win98 & IE6. Anyone else having these problems?
i think you answered your own questisons. Win 98 = ancient, dialup = very ancient and IE6 = ancient and poor performance. At the very least I would upgrade your browser to Firefox or the newest release of IE.
